Tip ImageFROST WARNING 04/27/2010
The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory warning for the Chicagoland area. If you have planters or a garden outdoors, you will need to protect your plants this evening, or bring your flower pots inside.

1. Make sure to water them. Do not leave them dry.

2. Cover all plants loosely with a light cloth or newspaper. If you use plastic, make sure the plastic is not touching the plant at all. This can cause burn damage.

3. Make sure you remove the covering first thing tomorrow morning. If you leave the covering on, the heat can cause burns on your plants.

If you follow these simple steps your plants should be free from damage. Remember that your bulbs are in the ground all winter and should not be damaged by the frost.
